Elementor page builder is an easy tool to use to create your WordPress website.

It’s a well designed and powerful tool allowing those with little or no web design skills – like myself – to create great looking websites fast.

This site is built using Elementor Pro.

It’s such an easy WordPress web building tool to use, that you can forget about one important thing while you are dangling around in its amazing tool set – page speed!

If you are not aware of some key fundamentals you may end up with a great looking site that FAILS all Google Core Web Vital metrics.

And if your site fails web vitals, it will usually not provide the best page experience for your visitors, selling you short on the marketing results you want from your website.

Need more convincing to take my Elementor Page Speed Course?

I’ve specialised in speed optimizing WordPress websites for over four years now, and in the last couple of years alone I have personally speed optimized over 200 sites.

During that time I used to dread working on WordPress sites built with Elementor!

I dreaded optimizing Elementor sites because they were so hard to fix and get them them to perform well without spending countless hours fixing up tiny issues.

Most of the Elementor page builder client sites I worked on were created by inexperienced website owners.

I soon came to realise how dangerous Elementor was as a page builder.

It had so much power but very few (even web designers) knew how to create pages that looked good and loaded fast.

I bit the Elementor bullet!

In 2022 I decided to launch Crunchlets.com – this site – as a resource for budding entrepreneurs who wanted to get to the top and stay at the top with the technical aspects of web publishing.

During 2020 and 2021 I created two other websites – getus.at – a marketing focused link shortener, and affyboy.com – a free affiliate marketing link management tool.

Nether of these sites were built with WordPress – let alone a site builder inside WordPress! I needed both of the sites to be lightening fast.

They were built with Django and Vue JS because page speed was a critical factor in their design.

WordPress is inherently a relatively slow web platform.

Notice I did not say slow – but relatively slow.

The WordPress platform was designed primarily for flexibility, so speed would always have to take a lower focus.

WordPress though is one of the best choices for a blog site like this – and hence – despite its inherent speed limitations – I chose WordPress.

But why did I choose Elementor?

And why did I create an Elementor page speed course!

So why the heck did I choose Elementor if it's so slow?

Elementor is NOT slow!

Elementor sites are only slow when you build them in the wrong way.

Every single Elementor site I’ve speed optimized over the last two years, was not built to facilitate fast page loading.

They all looked good but were slow!

Page speed optimizing poorly created client sites had put me off using Elementor, but when a page speed friend of mine showed me their Elementor created site with an average full page load of 800ms, I decided to bite the bullet and put Elementor to the test.

I don’t build websites, but I built this site so I could fully learn how to make Elementor created pages red hot fast.

After working out all the tiny things, that when accumulated, will slow your Elementor site down, it was then that I decided to create my Elementor speed course.
