The best - WordPress speed optimization service - YES!
Blowing your own trumpet is a silent trumpet to blow can! How does anyone define the best WordPress speed optimization service?
The ‘best’ is always empirical.
Well I am going to blow my own trumpet right now – if you want a great WordPress speed optimization service I am your guy!
DONE!
I did it! Ha Ha!
But do you believe me? Are you pounding at my door?
Let's define 'the best' for WordPress speed optimization
Here’s five things that the ‘best’ WordPress speed optimization service would probably give you: [if you get all 5 of these you are probably onto a winner]
- Personable connecting service – are you dealing with an ’empty-shell’ company, or someone who cares about you and your business success
- You are left knowing how you got into a page speed mess in the first place so you don’t end up there again
- You’re not racked out for thousands of dollars to get your WordPress site speed optimized
- Your page speed has has increased more than 100%
- You’re left feeling optimistic and knowing how to improve WordPress page speeds from here on
WordPress Page speed is achieved by design and by focus
Maybe I am an ‘old soldier’ who believes in self-responsibility.
When it comes to online business success I’ve found you have to be super-focused.
The internet is a vast market space but with a vast number of competitors – the winners are the ones who are most focused.
When it comes to page speed the game is the same – focus.
If you were to ask me for a list of the top ten things to focus on for page speed with WordPress, I would have to give you a top 100 list!
I could not filter it down to just ten.
WordPress Page speed is by design
Ninty percent of my page speed optimization work is being a wizard!
No joking!
On a crazy say I sometimes feel my clients think I have a special control panel where I hit a few buttons and the page speed improves!
A large part of my work involves working out how to get a great speed result without rebuilding the site!
On one client’s site that I worked on in May this year, I had managed to get the page speed down from 14 seconds to 4 seconds.
I was not happy with the results because I knew that removing the image slider at the top, would probably get the page to load in less than 2 seconds.
I suggested to the client to remove the slider. It was a full width image slider and each slide was over 200kb in size – there were six images loaded in the slider.
I’d already optimized the images from being 400kb each as PNG images to being just 50kb as WebP images.
The client was VERY attached to the slider!
I explained how sliders are treated like ads and virtually ignored but the client still remained attached.
I asked to reduce the slides to just 2 slides – seeing only a very small percentage of visitors would see past the first slide.
He resisted and wanted to retain the six slides.
His page speed remained at 4 seconds.
Speed cost you - slow page speed that is
Over ten years ago Amazon found that every 100ms of latency cost them 1% in sales, and Google found an extra 1/2 second in search page generation time dropped traffic by 20%.
So ok you’re not Google or Amazon – I get that.
But page speed affects you in more ways than one.
Even if you are not interested in SEO and you just use Adwords – Google will penalise you.
Since 2018 page speed has been an important factor for purchasing Google ads. In 2022 it’s even more important!
Are you in? Did I convince you to sign me up for fixing you WordPress page speeds?
I suppose like all good things – the best needs to have proof.
Here’s my Upwork profile link. It show’s a 100% top rated ranking – something not that easy to achieve.
I still love providing an online Wordpress speed optimization service because without real sites to work on, I lose my speed knowledge edge. Only by doing do I really learn!
